Bio

Bruce A. Brown, Owner/Engineer of Puget Sound Studios has been a long time audiophile and has refined the art of listening. The most important tools for a Mastering Engineer are their ears.

He is also a musician, starting piano when he was 9 and took up clarinet/sax when he was 11. He then went on to major in Piano and Clarinet at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music.

After touring with a few east coast bands (The John Clayton Band, Player) in the 80’s playing keyboards and sax, he got tired of the starving artist routine and went into the medical field where he still practices anesthesia part-time at a local hospital.

He kept his ears in the music field doing live location recording and mastering but always dreamed of building a dedicated studio where we could bring the Pacific Northwest a world class Mastering suite.

He’s been a Mastering Engineer for almost 10 years, Digidesign Certified in Post Production and now finally has a studio where he can better serve his clients.
Currently he’s the V.P. of the Pacific Northwest Audio Society and also a Member of AES and NARAS.
